Kaity may go on to win Zach's heart, but according to the bubbly blonde, she almost opted out of joining Zach's cast of women before filming began.

"My Aunt Jill nominated me [for The Bachelor] and yeah, I was super excited... Thank you, Aunt Jill!" Kaity shared during the March 2 episode of the "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation" podcast, which was co-hosted by Joe Amabile and Aaron Clancy.

"But when I first got the email, I thought it was spam, and I told my friend, 'Look at this, this is so funny.' And she was like, 'No, Kaity, I actually think that's serious.' And I was like, 'Oh sh-t, okay.'"

The Canada native, who currently lives in Zach's city, went on to disclose, "And then I actually wasn't going to come."

"I think it was when I first got the official phone call, like the green light and thumbs up, I was shaking in my boots. I was like, 'I don't think I'm going to come,'" she reiterated.

Kaity admitted that a "few things" were holding her back from looking for love on television.

"I just got settled into Austin, I had a great friend group, and I loved my job. The thing with travel nursing is you're on contract, so I would've had to break that contract," Kaity explained.

"[That]'s not a good look, obviously. So, yeah, I was extremely apprehensive."

"I watched the show before and, Aaron, I've actually seen your [The Bachelorette] season. But Zach's [The Bachelorette] season, I didn't really watch that much," Kaity said with a laugh.

She also confirmed that she had never run into Zach before appearing on the show.

Kaity, however, followed through with the casting process and decided to give Zach a chance because she thought he was "super handsome" and "genuine" based on the little she did know about him.

Kaity went into the season with an optimistic attitude, but then she found herself rattled by doubt again on Night 1.

Kaity recalled sitting in a limo on her way to meet Zach and asking herself, "What the heck am I doing here?"

She said the other women had tailored designer dresses while she had shopped at Marshalls.

Kaity and Zach hit it off right away on The Bachelor, and he even asked her to spend the night with him in a museum early in the process.

Kaity shared on the podcast what exactly happened that night when she and Zach slept together in a tent.

On the latest episode of The Bachelor, Kaity received a rose in Budapest, Hungary after their second one-on-one date of the season.

"The fact that I still get butterflies with her -- and it's not, like, perfect, it just feels real," Zach gushed in a confessional. "I'm very much attached, it feels like a magnetic is pulling us together, and I love that."

Zach also said Kaity carried herself with kindness and treated other people with respect. Zach had been looking for a compassionate woman, and he said he saw that during their date, which was a very special trait.

Kaity called Zach "the perfect man" and said he checked off all her boxes, such as his vulnerable side and also his goofy and silly nature. She said she felt like "the luckiest girl in the world" in his presence.

During the dinner portion of their date, Kaity revealed her two father figures had both walked out on her during different stages of her childhood. Kaity therefore desires a family, stability and unconditional love from a man, and Zach was impressed by her strength and resilience.

"I am falling in love with him, and I just need a little more time to say that," Kaity shared.

Kaity will be shown taking Zach to her hometown and the Bachelor meeting her family on the next The Bachelor episode airing Monday, March 13 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

The show's The Women Tell All special will air the following night on Tuesday, March 14.
