"Not gonna lie. It's been a tough week," Kaitlyn captioned a Sunday post on Instagram that shows she'll be portraying Moana for "Disney Night" on Dancing with the Stars' upcoming episode.

"Ankle is still so sore which has really put a damper on rehearsing."

Kaitlyn's ankle injury nearly prevented her from performing with pro partner Artem Chigvintsev in last week's live show.

"No MRI results as of this minute, which has been mentally draining too," Kaitlyn added in her Instagram post.

"So we are going to need those votes tomorrow night!!OK? #teamwillyouacceptthisdance #Willyouacceptthisdance #DWTS."

Although Kaitlyn's time on Dancing with the Stars thus far has apparently been physically painful and stressful, she was photographed arriving at the rehearsal studio on Sunday with a smile on her face, People reported.

During a brief appearance Monday on Good Morning America, Kaitlyn seemed to tease she will be dancing on Monday night because she's allowed to dance with no shoes on since Moana's character is barefoot, which would make the task easier for the reality TV star and podcast host.

"We are waiting very patiently for the MRI results because nothing has come back yet," Kaitlyn said on GMA. "I'm assuming I will have them at some point today."

On how she's been taking care of her ankle, Kaitlyn shared, "I've been doing a lot of physical therapy, certain stretches and a lot of icing. We do taping, we do STEM. We do everything possible, including elevating it when I'm not dancing."

Kaitlyn admitted, "Rehearsal time has been cut a little short because of it."

Artem then chimed in on GMA and confirmed their rehearsal time has been cut down to practically nothing, which prompted Kaitlyn to acknowledge, "Yeah, I'm really nervous for tonight."

Kaitlyn is also apparently nervous how this ankle injury could impact her future on Dancing with the Stars and longevity in the competition.

"If I'm thinking positively and long-term about being here for a while, it's a little scary to think I might have to nurse this thing the whole way through," Kaitlyn said.

"But I'm trying to stay positive and go day by day, but it's definitely worrying me a little bit."

It's not a stretch to imagine Kaitlyn could make it far on Season 29 of Dancing with the Stars considering she just tied for first place on the judges' two-week leaderboard last week with actress Justina Machado and pro partner Sasha Farber.

Kaitlyn and Artem performed a 22-point worthy foxtrot to "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack last week that Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba dubbed beautiful and elegant.

Carrie Ann said she couldn't even imagine what the routine would have looked like had Kaitlyn's ankle been fine, and fellow DWTS judge Derek Hough added that Kaitlyn's performance was "graceful" and "effortless."

Kaitlyn and Artem survived elimination last week after their beautiful dance, and former NBA basketball star Charles Oakley and partner Emma Slater got sent home instead.

Two days after the episode aired, Kaitlyn took to Instagram and wrote on Thursday, "I was hysterically bawling thinking I had to sit this one out. Thank you to the dr, PT, and Artem for making sure I was ok to dance."

"I have an MRI today and I will keep everyone posted," Kaitlyn continued. "We can't thank everyone enough for the votes and love."

Kaitlyn's boyfriend and The Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick commented on Kaitlyn's post, "Damn inspiration you are," and added how her dance with Artem was "gorgeous start to finish."

Dancing with the Stars' upcoming episode on Monday night will feature the 14 remaining celebrity and professional pairings competing on "Disney Night" for home viewer votes, as long as Kaitlyn is cleared again to compete.
