Robert Scott Morgan, 25, of Fairfax, Va., was reported in fair and stable condition Friday at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, The Baltimore Sun reported.
Police said Morgan and a confederate, Sean Michael Bullington, 34, of Draper, Utah, went to the Maryland Public Television radio tower in Crownsville under cover of darkness Wednesday morning. Morgan made his jump at about 2 a.m.
Bullington, who was with Morgan to witness the jump, has been charged with giving police a false statement.
