British movie star Jude Law has hired a new agent, Patrick Whitesell from the Endeavour agency, the Daily Mail said Friday.

Law, who had been presented by Josh Lieberman of Los Angeles' Creative Artists Agency, also known as CAA, made the move after being the butt of Chris Rock's jokes at the recent Academy Awards ceremony.

During Sunday's gala, Rock said there were only a handful of true stars left in Hollywood, and speaking of Law the "Head of State" star said, "You want Tom Cruise and all you get is Jude Law? Wait. It's not the same thing."

Said one industry insider: "CAA made Jude and he can't take a joke."
