Josh Taekman, the husband of The Real Housewives of New York City star Kristen Taekman, has admitted to having an Ashley Madison account after previously denying any involvement.

After insisting there was "not a shot in hell" he subscribed to the website known for setting up extramarital affairs, Josh is now apologizing in a statement for registering on Ashley Madison.

"I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family," Josh told Us Weekly on Tuesday. "We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives."

Josh reportedly had an active account on the website for three years starting in June 2011. According to the website, he's made a total of 62 payments to the company worth thousands of dollars and often made multiple payments in one day. There is a money-back guarantee if the subscriber does not have an affair.

Hackers leaked personal information from the site last week that linked Josh's credit card records with his two email accounts -- JTeezy012@gmail.com and SeanThomas012@gmail.com -- and his home address in Tribeca, NY, where he currently lives with Kristen and filmed some scenes for her Bravo reality show.

Josh, who has two children with Kristen, pretended he knew nothing about an Ashley Madison account when news first surfaced he was associated with the infidelity website after the leak.

"I don't understand. There's not a shot in hell that I'm a subscriber. I have no knowledge of that this is the first I've ever heard of it," he told the UK's Daily Mail. "This is crazy. I saw it on the TV the other day about the security breach and we were laughing about it. It is what it is but somebody is definitely fraudulently using my name and number."

Ironically, Josh's activity on the website seemed to abruptly stop right around the time he first started appearing on The Real Housewives of New York City with Kristen in Spring 2014 for Season 6.

Josh and Kristen were portrayed on the show as having a strained marriage in which they fought all the time. However, both individuals later complained about how Josh received an unflattering and unrealistic edit. The couple has been married for 10 years.
