"Cable can be very funny. He can be a lot of different things but he also can be very funny," the actor said of his character who, despite having a serious demeanor, still has a sense of humor to keep up with the wacky antics of Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool.
"There's a lot of stuff going on in 'Deadpool' and it's very surprising and it will be very satisfying when you see it," Brolin continued about the film. "It's even funnier than the first one."
Brolin, who was at first hesitant to take on the role, said that it was his wife Kathryn Boyd convinced him to read the script.
