January 8, 2003 The Smoking Gun reports that before appearing on FOX's "Joe Millionaire," Evan Marriott earned spare change modeling skimpy briefs for a California firm specializing in revealing swimwear, thongs, and leatherette underwear. arriott, whom Fox describes as a $19,000-a-year construction worker and is trying to position as a shy, somewhat quiet individual, posed in November 2001 for California Muscle, a Los Angeles-based firm that sells its racy garments via a bi-annual catalog and web site. Evan Marriott busted for highway toll evasion January 4, 2003 He may act like a guy who just inherited $50 million on TV, but he doesn't always pay his bills in real life. The Smoking Gun reports that Evan Marriott (aka FOX's Joe Millionaire) was busted by the California Highway Patrol on Sept. 25 for toll evasion on an Orange County highway. Identity of FOX's 'Joe Millionaire' revealed December 15, 2002 The Virginian-Pilot has revealed the identity of the single bachelor who will appear in FOX's upcoming "Joe Millionaire" series. The mysterious "Joe" is actually 28-year-old Evan Marriott (see photos below) -- a heavy-equipment operator, sometime male model and former military school cadet from Virginia Beach -- and, alas, merely a thousandaire. FOX releases identities of the 20 women competing on its upcoming 'Joe Millionaire' reality series December 8, 2002 FOX has released profiles and photos for the 20 single women who will compete for the affections of their faux-millionaire in their upcoming "Joe Millionaire" reality TV series. Among the beautiful, smart and sophisticated women gathered are a doctor, banker and business development executive, three Melissa's, and ten women for the Los Angeles area (so much for those open casting calls in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York, Houston, Minneapolis, and Seatlle.) Still unannounced is the identity of their would-be millionaire. FOX announces new 'Joe Millionaire' reality series to premiere on January 6th December 3, 2002 Romance and reality intertwine as 20 women travel to France for a whirlwind romance with a man whom they think is a dashing millionaire. What will happen when the truth is finally revealed that he is a just a regular "Joe" and his wealth is a facade? Will his true love accept him for who he is, or reject him in search of greener pastures? 'Temptation Island' producers now casting for new FOX 'The Big Choice' reality TV show July 27, 2002 FOX and Rocket Science Laboratories (the producers of such wholesome entertainment as "Temptation Island") have teamed up for a new reality series tentatively called THE BIG CHOICE. They are conducting a nationwide search for attractive, intelligent, out-going men and women who are ready for a "serious relationship" (whatever that means -- remember, these *ARE* the producers of Tempation Island that we're talking about.) |
