The 23-year-old reality star and Seewald announced on their website Tuesday that Duggar is pregnant and expecting their second child in February 2017. The couple are already parents to 9-month-old son Spurgeon.

"We are overjoyed to announce that Spurgeon has a new title in life as 'big brother'!" the pair wrote. "We are so thankful that God is adding to our family."

"2017 is shaping up to be a wonderful year already and we know Spurgeon will do a great job in his new role," they added. "Having Spurgeon has been such a wonderful blessing and we cannot wait to see the face of this sweet new baby (or babies!)."

Duggar and Seewald married in Bentonville, Ark., in 2014 and welcomed Spurgeon in November 2015.

The reality star, who grew up with 18 siblings, had previously expressed her desire to have a large family of her own.

"Kids are so important. We hope to adopt a lot of kids. If God blesses us with biological kids of our own, it's not going to quench our desire to adopt," she told People in February 2015.

Duggar and her family came to fame on TLC's "19 Kids & Counting," which was canceled in the wake of Josh Duggar's sex abuse scandal.
