Jennifer Love Hewitt's new boyfriend, Alex Beh, is already up for a starring role in family traditions as Thanksgiving approaches.

It seems Beh knows his way around the kitchen and has already qualified for the pending feast.

"I didn't know he made a great turkey until right now," Love Hewitt told People magazine at this week's Rock the Kasbah gala in Los Angeles. "We're learning every day."

The "Ghost Whisperer" star says Beh, who is also an actor, has proven himself to be an "old fashioned" gentleman.

And she should know if a man has the necessary skills -- culinary and otherwise -- to be boyfriend material. She released a book earlier this year on relationship advice called "The Day I Shot Cupid."

"I do feel like me kind of writing it helped me get to where I needed to be in order to know that he was there," she told People.
