Jennifer Lopez teased about alleged "nip-slip" on 'American Idol'

By Elizabeth Kwiatkowski, 02/29/2012

Jennifer Lopez's alleged Academy Awards wardrobe malfunction lived on during Tuesday night's American Idol performance show, with Lopez denying she had a "nip-slip" while presenting an Oscar with Cameron Diaz at the awards show on Sunday.

"I'm as confused as a baby in a topless bar. You know, Jennifer dared me to take my pants off and jump in the water and it was all over the press, and now she is out-pressing me -- wait, wait. Who am I?" said fellow Idol judge Steven Tyler, who then pretended to sneeze while "accidentally" revealing his nipple.

"Whoa, whoa, hey! This is a family show. It's a family show," judge Randy Jackson joked as an annoyed Lopez goofed around with Tyler and pulled his hair.

"I don't even know what to say to that," Lopez, a tad overwhelmed, said with a big smile. "[Ryan Seacrest], save me right now!"

"I think that was an Oscar re-enactment, ladies and gentlemen," Seacrest, American Idol's host, chimed in. "Don't worry, we love you [Jennifer], and you looked great in that dress."

While Seacrest attempted to change the subject and move on from the discussion by cueing tape of one of Idol's eleventh-season male semifinalists, Lopez interjected and yelled, "There was no nipple!"

Lopez's stylist had also insisted the singer didn't suffer a wardrobe malfunction during Sunday night's broadcast of the 84th annual Academy Awards, despite Oscar viewers buzzing about the alleged incident on Twitter.

"The dress fit perfectly to every inch," Mariel Haenn recently told People of Lopez's daring custom-made Zuhair Murad gown which featured a plunging neckline and cut-outs in the sleeves.

"While the dress did give the illusion of sheer-ness, joke's on everyone who wishes they saw something!"
