Jennifer Lopez filed suit in Los Angeles Monday claiming her ex-husband threatened to write a book about her if she did not pay him $5 million.

The suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court says Ojani Noa notified Lopez's attorney in 2005 he was looking for a publisher for a proposed tell-all book about Lopez, but he was open to "negotiate" if the singer/actress wanted him to call off the project.
Another letter, about a year later, said Noa "would not agree to refrain from marketing his book unless (Lopez) paid him a sum of $5 million," TMZ.com quoted the suit as saying.
The suit also accuses Noa of making false statements about Lopez to the New Post's Page Six gossip column.
