Lopez, a judge on American Idol, has signed a deal for a Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Us Weekly reported.

The 45-year-old's residency will reportedly begin in January 2016, with her first show debuting January 20.

"[It's] just the idea of creating the show I always wanted to create," Lopez announced this week during American Idol's final fourteenth-season performance show.

"A tour is a different animal and to be in the one place doing a show that I've always imagined creating at this moment in my life -- I'm very excited about it. It's going to be everything the fans have come to know me for onstage. I'll have dancers, hip-hop, it's going to be a high-energy type of show that anybody can come and see, the fans and everybody else."

Tickets for the first 20 performances at the Axis theatre will go on sale to the public May 16.
