Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston has filed for divorce from actor Brad Pitt in Los Angeles Superior Court citing "irreconcilable differences."
After weeks of speculation that Hollywood's golden couple might be reconciling, Aniston officially sought the end of her five-year marriage Friday, reported the syndicated television show "Celebrity Justice" Saturday.
Anniston, who starred in NBC's "Friends" for 10 years, separated from Pitt, the star of "Ocean's 12" and "Troy," in January at which time the couple said they remained "committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another."
Neither performer is expected to ask for spousal support in the divorce that been described as "extremely amicable."
