Jayden, Isabella top New York baby names

The New York City Health Department said Isabella and Jayden topped the list of the most popular names for newborns this year.

The department, which based its research on birth certificates from city hospitals, said the most popular names for newborn boys this year were Jayden, Ethan, Daniel, Jacob and David, the New York Daily News reported Thursday.

The most popular names for newborn girls were Isabella, Sophia, Olivia, Emily and Madison.

The department said Isabella and Jayden also topped the list last year.
