Jane Lynch to reportedly host NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' in October

Actress Jane Lynch has signed on as guest host of one of the first episodes of Season 36 of "Saturday Night Live" in New York, a source told Movieline.com.

Lynch is a former member of the Second City comedy troupe and plays one of the breakout characters on the wildly popular TV series "Glee."
Her film credits include "Julie and Julia," "For Your Consideration" and "Best in Show."
Movieline.com said Lynch is to preside over the Oct. 9 edition of "SNL."
