The Melbourne Herald Sun reports that Jagger won the gig during a dinner meeting on the Spanish island Ibiza with architect Philipe Starck, founder of the international developer Yoo, and Andrew Rettig, CEO of Australia's R Corp.
Rettig said that Jagger's "innovative designs have created a stir around the world."
As the daughter of a rock and roll legend, now Sir Mick, and his first wife, Bianca, a celebrity human rights activist, Jade Jagger is no stranger to celebrity. She also designs jewelry for Garrard, whose customers include Queen Elizabeth.
Jagger is to be creative director of a partnership between R Corp. and Yoo Australia, with responsibilities that include both architectural design and furniture.
