IMA Board Chairman John Thompson presided over a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday marking the beginning of a three-day celebration of the museum's re-opening.

"That's an art museum that belongs to all of the people in the community," said Thompson. "We all have something to celebrate."

In the Star Studio, the museum's interactive educational space on the first level of the Gallery Pavilion, children and adults enjoyed the exhibition "Amorphic Robot Works: The Feisty Children," featuring a dozen buzzing, clanking, banging robots, the Indianapolis Star reported Saturday.
