Indianapolis fire department finds litter of newborn kittens in fire truck

UPI News Service, 04/20/2017

A fire crew in Indianapolis rescued a litter of kittens found in one of the station's fire engines.

The Indiana Fire Department shared photos of the litter of three kittens, two boys and one girl, which they found after they heard meowing coming from the back of engine 35.

Firefighters placed the tiny kittens in a box filled with blankets while their eyes were still closed and transported them to Noah's Animal Hospital.

Upon their arrival at the animal hospital the kittens each received a meal and a bath as they meowed for attention.

All of the kittens were in good health and the fire department planned to search for the mother, which they believe gave birth in the fire engine.
