Husbands have second chance at proposal

UPI News Service, 04/02/2006

For U.S. men who felt they bungled their marriage proposal to their wives, a ring company is offering a second chance.

Robbins Bros. -- which bills itself as the World's Biggest Engagement Ring Store -- is sponsoring a national search to help men recreate their marriage proposal in a romantic, creative and unforgettable way.

Disc jockey Ryan Seacrest recently said on his morning radio program in Los Angeles that 80 percent of women are disappointed in their marriage proposal.

Men and women are asked to write an essay of no more than 250 words, describing a disastrous marriage proposal. The winner gets engagement expert Steve Robbins to serve as romance coach -- and a 2-carat diamond engagement ring from Robbins Bros.

The essays should be sent to ido@robbinsbros.com by April 28.
