British soccer star David Beckham says wife Victoria is losing weight quickly after the Caesarean section delivery of their third child.

"She's great and she's losing the weight quickly, which is pleasing for her," Beckham said of the progress his wife has made three weeks after giving birth to Cruz. "She's very happy. She didn't put much on anyway, to be honest, she only had this little cute bump. But she's really good and really healthy."

The couple's other children, also born by Caesarean section, are Brooklyn, 6, and Romeo, 2, the Daily Mail said Tuesday.

"It's a massive operation and it's an operation that actually she always gets criticized for but unfortunately that's the only way that Victoria can have children," Beckham said. "With all three of the boys they were in the wrong position to have natural births and that's why she had the Caesarean."
