Shock jock Howard Stern revealed Monday comic Adam Carolla and former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth will take over his radio show.

Carolla will take over Stern's show in the Los Angeles market and Roth in New York, when he jumps over to Sirius Satellite Radio in 2006, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Infinity Broadcasting had no comment, the Times said.

Roth, or "Diamond Dave" as he's calling himself on radio, has been experimenting with a morning radio show in Boston while Carolla already co-hosts the nationally syndicated talk show, "Loveline."

Stern made the announcement after an hourlong hoax during which he had an impersonator pretend he was Roth and announced Stern had been fired.
