"Australia's Next Top Model" host Sarah Murdoch said an earpiece miscommunication led to her announcing the wrong winner during a live broadcast.

Murdoch said she heard "Kelsey one, Amanda two" through her earpiece during the broadcast and interpreted that to mean Kelsey Martinovich was the winner and Amanda Ware was the runner-up, The Sydney Morning Herald reported Wednesday.
"As far as I knew it was the right call, it was what I had been told," Murdoch said.
However, a few seconds later, while Martinovich was giving her victory speech, Murdoch understood the error had been made, news.com.au reported Wednesday.
"Oh my God, I don't know what to say right now," Murdoch said during the taping in Sydney.
"I'm feeling a bit sick about this. I'm so sorry about this, oh my God. I don't know what to say. This is a complete accident, I'm so sorry. It's Amanda ... it was fed to me wrong.
"This is what happens when you have live TV folks, I'm so sorry, this is insane," she said.
