UPI News Service, 12/02/2004
Veteran Hollywood lobbyist Jack Valenti will be immortalized with hand and footprints on Hollywood Boulevard, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said.
Valenti, who retired this year as President of the Motion Picture Association of America and currently serves as the new head of the MPAA Ratings Board, will be honored in a ceremony Monday in the forecourt of Grauman's Chinese Theater.
The hosts for the event are the heads of the seven major motion picture studios.
Plans call for screen legend Kirk Douglas and his son, Michael Douglas, to speak. The guest list also includes Sylvester Stallone, Angie Dickinson and Quincy Jones.
