Heather Locklear hospitalized for bacterial infection in Los Angeles

Heather Locklear's publicist says the television actress is being treated for a bacterial infection in a Los Angeles-area hospital.

The representative told UsMagazine.com Locklear is taking antibiotics and expected to be released later Wednesday.

"She is fine," the publicist told the entertainment news Web site.

Locklear, 49, is best known for her work on TV's "Dynasty," "Melrose Place" and "Spin City."
