The 62-year-old told reporters he had "no doubt" a fourth film will be made, and said the script was under development, Sky News said Tuesday.
"I hear the producer, George Lucas, is happy with the way the new draft is turning out," but would not venture any of his personal opinions.
Asked if Sean Connery would be in the forthcoming adventure, he said Connery "says he is now retired so I don't know."
"Raiders Of The Lost Ark" (1981) was the first in the series, followed by "The Temple Of Doom" (1984) and "Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade" (1989).
