"The Voice" coaches Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton had an epic lip-synch battle Wednesday on "The Tonight Show."

The 44-year-old singer and the 38-year-old champagne-swilling country star took on host Jimmy Fallon in a three-person competition.

Shelton kicked off the contest with a tipsy rendition of "Putting on the Ritz" by Taco complete with tap dancing, and Fallon countered with an emphatic version of "Burn" by Ellie Goulding.

Stefani followed up with an energetic interpretation of "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen, and the trio each performed one more song before Stefani and Shelton were declared champions.

Stefani will make her debut as a coach on "The Voice" when the reality competition returns September 22 on NBC.

Pharrell Williams has also joined the program, and Shelton and Adam Levine will return as coaches.
