The boy and girl born in New York Thursday were the couple's first children together, People magazine reported Tuesday.
De Cadenet, who hosted the Britain's late night TV show, "The Word," as well as roles in "Brokedown Palace" and "Four Rooms," met the rocker five years ago and they married during a break from the Strokes' summer tour, People said.
De Cadenet, 34, was previously married to Duran-Duran frontman John Taylor and has a 14-year-old daughter, Atlanta, from that union.
She has since retired from acting to concentrate on photography for magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair.
Valensi, 25, is the youngest member of the Strokes.
