Based on Mario Puzo's book and the movie trilogy, "The Godfather: The Game" is supposed to take fans to the next level of organized crime fun. It is to be released Tuesday.
The New York Post reports the player is a young wise guy whose father was killed and wants revenge.
Featuring voices from the original movie, the games allows the player to become an active part of a crime family carrying out criminal enterprise in New York's Little Italy set in the 1940s and '50s.
The game will be available on PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC and was held back from a holiday shopping release by maker Electronic Arts for technical reasons.
David DeMartini, the game's executive producer, said the game is difficult. Despite overseeing its creation he still gets stuck on some levels.
