Gillian Anderson's publicist says the U.S. actress has broken up with Mark Griffiths, the father of her two sons.

People.com confirmed Tuesday the pair have ended their six-year-long relationship, which produced their sons Oscar, 5, and Felix, 3.
No reason was given for the split.
Best known for her work on TV's "The X Files," Anderson was previously divorced twice and has a daughter from her first marriage.
