A giant spider on a billboard above a Liverpool, England, McDonald's is scaring young customers away from the family-friendly restaurant.

The Daily Mirror said the 21-foot tarantula, part of an advertisement for a British lager, is 100,000 times larger than life.
One man said his kids were too terrified of the spider to go inside the restaurant. "When my two saw it they were rigid with fear," Mark Sumpter told the newspaper.
"Instead of taking them to McDonald's I drove on and went elsewhere."
