His driver's license has also been suspended for five years and he was ordered to pay about $2,000 in fines. The recording artist is expected to spend only four weeks in prison and the rest of his sentence under the supervision of the probation service, the BBC said Tuesday.
Michael pleaded guilty last month to driving under the influence of drugs and possessing cannabis, and was sentenced Tuesday.
The charges stem from Michael's July 4 arrest in London after he crashed his Range Rover into a Snappy Snaps photo shop.
