Gay porn producer F. Mark Schaffel is looking to recoup more than $3 million in outstanding debts fgrom the embattled singer, MSNBC and NBC News reported Friday.
According to Schaffel, Jackson owes him $1 million for producing two videos to counter negative publicity from a 2003 documentary and $2 million in personal loans, payments and gifts to Jackson's friends, including Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando.
The rebuttal videos Schaffel produced were never aired.
Schaffel's attorney said he was filing the lien on Jackson's $22 million estate to ensure the debts are repaid. However, the lien only extended to land, and did not include Jackson's Ferris wheels or trains, Howard King said.
The news comes as Jackson faces continued financial stress and an ongoing trial for allegations he molested a 13-year-old cancer patient who had visited his ranch.
