Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky said the truck overturned on the highway median near Mile Marker 42 shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday, filling the southbound lanes of the road with Gatorade-filled plastic bottles, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Thursday.
Wysocky said a front-end loader was being used to clear the bottles from the traffic lanes.
"All we need is some ice and we can cool it down," the sergeant quipped.
The driver of the truck, identified as John Downey, 51, was not injured in the crash.
