A Missouri man has been charged with theft after reneging on a deal to sell four Hannah Montana concert tickets.

Clay County authorities accuse Bryan K. Phelps Jr., 29, of St. Charles of stealing by deceit for not following through on an eBay transaction for the concert tickets, The Kansas City (Mo.) Star reported Saturday.

Phelps, whose bond was set at $10,000, allegedly duped a woman out of $560.

The woman told police that she searched the online auction site in October, where she found four tickets being sold by Phelps.

She said Phelps agreed to sell the tickets to her through his PayPal account. The woman said she sent the money, but Phelps sent her an e-mail saying that he forgot his password and PayPal had blocked his account, the newspaper reported.

She then sent a $560 money order to Phelps. He signed for the package on Oct. 25, and sent the woman an e-mail the next day indicating he would ship the tickets to her on Oct. 27, she told police. The woman told authorities said she never received the tickets and Phelps told her the tickets must have gotten lost in the mail.
