Previously titled Branson's Big Adventure, The Billionaire will follow the global adventurer and founder/chairman of the Virgin Group of Companies as he takes a group of sixteen young would-be billionaires on a whirlwind tour of the world and the adventure of a lifetime.

During the series, the group will jet to numerous international destinations and relive some of Branson's greatest personal experiences while also tackling the types of dilemmas that help shape future billionaires. If they make decisions that impress Branson, they will continue onward. If not, each week, one candidate will be left behind on the tarmac as the rest of the group jets off to the next adventure.

First announced in April, the program was originally announced as being produced internally by Branson and own team (including his vice president of corporate communication at Virgin), but FOX later announced that the series would be executive produced by Bunim-Murray Productions, the folks behind such reality hits such as FOX's The Simple Life and MTV's long-running The Real World and Road Rules series.

Branson, one of Britain's best-known entrepreneurs, has made a habit of combining his enthusiasm for running the Virgin Group of Companies with his love for high-risk, high-adventure, world record-breaking attempts. After founding the hugely successful Virgin Records music label in the 1970s, Branson expanded the Virgin name into "Megastore" retailing, book and software publishing, film and video editing, clubs, travel, hotels, cinemas, financial services, telecommunications, and rail and air transportation.

Branson received a knighthood for his services to entrepreneurship in 1999. He lives with his wife, Lady Joan Branson, and their two children, Holly and Sam, in London and Oxfordshire, UK.

The Billionaire: Branson's Quest For The Best was created by Lori Levin-Hyams, Laura Fuest and Tod Dahlke. Jon Murray, Richard Branson, Lori Levin-Hyams, Kevin Lee, Laura Fuest and Tod Dahlke are Executive Producers.
