The kindergarten to fifth grade division title was won by Colton Iovoli making his first appearance in the sweet scarfing competition, the Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle reported.
"In the middle, I had a huge brain freeze. But I didn't know what to do, so I just kept going," said Iovoli, 9, who won a red cooler overflowing with bags of chips and pretzels.
The adult competition title went home with 21-year-old Philip Toscano of Greece, but the real story was second place Anthony Greco, 34, who raised $980 for the fourth annual Ice Cream Bowl Sunday.
Greco won an ice cream party for 100 people, which he said he would auction off for charity.
