Lisa Ling, a former panelist on "The View," is set to make a guest appearance on the popular U.S. talk show, ABC announced Wednesday.

The network said Ling's March 27 appearance marks the first time she will have been a guest on the morning chat series.
Ling vacated her chair at "The View" in December 2002 to join National Geographic Television and Film, but returned in May 2003 to be a guest co-host for two shows.
She was eventually replaced by current co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
Ling is going on the show later this month to talk about the underage prostitution crisis in the United States.
Her report "Who Cares About Girls: Sex Workers or Victims?" is scheduled to air March 30 on Oxygen.
