The former Project Runway first- and second-season contestant appeared during Tuesday night's American Idol ninth-season Los Angeles auditions episode during a video montage that demonstrated the eighth-season runner-up's impact on the new season's auditions.
"In every city we went to we kept seeing Adam," Idol host Ryan Seacrest explained as he introduced the segment.
"If Adam Lambert and Susan Boyle had sex -- which is pretty farfetched -- I'd be it, pretty much," Franco joked during the footage.
Since the 38-year-old exceeds American Idol's age limit of 28 he knew he had no chance of making to Hollywood but still made it onto the episode due to his tribute.
Franco was the first contestant ousted from Project Runway's first season in 2004. However he subsequently appeared on the second season, and -- while he made it all the way to the fourth week of the competition -- he was once again eliminated.
