Two-time Super Bowl champion John Elway added another trophy to his collection, as the former NFL quarterback was crowned the winner of Fast Cars & Superstars - Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race during Sunday night's broadcast of the ABC reality show's finale.

Elway, who was paired with NASCAR Celebrity Young Gun Kurt Busch in the competition's final race, defeated the rest of the competition's six remaining finalists by completing Fast Cars & Superstars' final five-lap course with a time of 3:39:31.  Elway's time narrowly edged Ty Murray, a seven-time rodeo champion who finished second with a time of 3:43:67.

"What a blast!" said Elway as he exited his stock car in front of a Lowe's Motor Speedway crowd that was chanting his name.  "That was as fast as I could go!"

During last night's finale, Elway competed against Murray; reigning World Wrestling Entertainment champion John Cena; Nashville Star 5 host and Grammy nominated musician Jewel; skateboarding legend Tony Hawk; and former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher.

Fast Cars & Superstars' final course challenge required each finalist to follow the Young Gun they were paired with around the track for five laps. During their run, the finalists also had to make a pit stop following the third lap, with the celebrity that posted the best time winning the title.

"I'm going to go as fast as I can but also try to be smart about it," said Elway during a voiceover as his stock-car flew around the track.  Apparently, his strategy worked as he was able to narrowly defeat Murray.
