Former 'Glee' star Mark Salling pleads guilty to child porn charge

UPI News Service, 10/05/2017

Former "Glee" actor Mark Salling pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography Wednesday and will face four to seven years in prison, according to a plea bargain with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Salling, who starred on the hit show between 2009 and 2015, pleaded guilty to "one felony count of possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor" and will also face 20 years of supervised release, pay $50,000 in restitution to each of his victims and register as a sex offender, reported Variety.

A judge will decide Salling's sentence at a later date.

The actor, who played Noah "Puck" Puckerman on "Glee," was arrested in December 2015 when the Los Angeles Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce raided his home and found thousands of images of child pornography on a hard drive and USB drive.
