Firefighters return to find burglary

The Chicago Fire Department said a crew returned from a run to find two men trying to steal a laptop from their headquarters.

Fire Department spokesman Sean Flynn said the crew returned to their North Side firehouse around 9:30 p.m. Thursday from a false alarm call to discover the two attempted burglars trying to leave with the computer, the Chicago Tribune reported Friday.

The firefighters held the two men while their commanding officer called for police assistance.

Brothers Anthony and Robert Depietro, ages 27 and 32, respectively, were arrested on burglary charges.
