"Teen Mom" star turned author Farrah Abraham recently found employment at a strip club in Austin, Texas. The 23-year-old reality star is reportedly working as a stripper at Palazio Gentlemen's Club.

"She was hired a couple of weeks ago as a cocktail waitress but wanted to make more money dancing, so they moved her up to the stage," an insider said. "She was on all three stages, the main stage and two side stages."

Abraham told E! News that she doesn't think of stripping as her new profession and that she's simply "doing research" of "all the roles that make up a gentleman's club."

"A friend of mine works there and I'm researching," she explained. "I've been trying out all the roles that make up a gentleman's club, including cocktailing and dancing. There's management and there's cooking too. It's job shadowing that I hope pays off."

Abraham, who recently released her biographic erotic novel "Celebrity Sex Tape In the Making," said she's studying the strip club culture in the "same way Jennifer Aniston researched her role as a stripper" for her film "We're The Millers."

"It's how I get the information to write my books and do my movies," she explained. "Unfortunately, I'm not free to talk about what those future projects may be. But I'm interested in hearing all the women's stories. And while I'm doing it, I'm getting paid. I'm getting paid to play a role and get informed."

Abraham said in July she hopes either Jessica Alba or Sandra Bullock will play the lead role of Fallon Opal in the cinematographic adaptation of her first novel.
