A Western Pennsylvania woman claims an artist violated an agreement with her for a mural by putting the likenesses of famous people into the picture.

Debra Hardy of Rostraver told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that Carolyn Quinn of Chalk Hill also put Hardy and her two daughters into the picture without being told to. Hardy said she told the artist she wanted a mural for a wall in her home like one in downtown Uniontown, Pa., that shows life-size dancers, none of them famous.
The two women are in litigation. Quinn is seeking her $75,000 fee, while Hardy says Quinn should pay her for using her own likeness and her daughters without permission. She said that because the artist might use photographs of the mural for promotion the use is a breach of privacy.
The dancers in the mural include Hollywood figures Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck and Marilyn Monroe, as well as former President John F. Kennedy, Princess Diana and singer Beyonce.
