A British "Star Trek" fan said he was heartbroken when his ex decided to sell the apartment he remodeled into the interior of the Starship Enterprise.

Tony Alleyne, 58, said he spent years turning the interior of his Hinckley, England, apartment into a re-creation of the interior of the Starship Enterprise, but he is getting a divorce from his wife, Georgia, who holds the lease and wants to sell the place, The Sun reported Tuesday.
"To say I'm gutted is an understatement. It is my life's work -- and it looks like it's going into a skip. I admit there were tears," Alleyne said.
Georgia Alleyne said she is having Tony dismantle his work because she wants to sell the apartment as "conventional property."
