Even South Florida can get pretty chilly sometimes -- like this weekend when the mercury may dip into the 30s.

Forecasters say the temperatures may reach into the 30s Saturday, coldest weather this winter, the Miami Herald said. It may not mean much in Fargo or Buffalo but it's a big deal in the Sunshine State.
The National Weather Service issued a "special weather statement" warning of near-freezing temperatures caused by a cold front moving into Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
The possibility of temperatures dipping to the low 40s to mid 30s means owners of plants and pets may want to bring them inside the next couple of nights. And, dress the kids in layers before letting them outside.
''Oh my God, I think I might die if it gets that cold,'' said Susan Wilson, office manager at American Pool Service in Plantation.
But, the chill won't last long, forecasters said. Sunday temperatures should rebound with highs in the 70s.
