"Entertainment Tonight" fashion correspondent Steven "Cojo" Cojocaru is going public with his search for kidney donor.

Cojo has a hereditary disorder called polycystic kidney disease. He underwent a kidney transplant in January, but a rare infection set in and only three months later the new kidney had to be removed. He is now undergoing daily dialysis.

Cojo Monday described for his "ET" colleague, Mary Hart, the toll the past year has taken on him both emotionally and physically.

"I'm pretty feisty and strong, for the first time in my life I was vulnerable and weak," he admitted. "So, it was hard after I lost the kidneys. I was completely depleted, emotionally, physically. It's quite a thing you go through and I learned a lot."
