Elizabeth Taylor says she plans to spend her 79th birthday Sunday watching the Academy Awards telecast from her hospital bed.

The two-time Oscar-winning actress -- Best Actress in a Leading Role award for the 1960 film "BUtterfield 8" and a second Best Actress award for the 1966 picture "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" -- has been in Cedars Sinai Medical Center since Feb. 11 with congestive heart failure, People magazine reported.
"She plans to watch the Academy Awards with family and close friends and will be rooting for 'The King's Speech,'" a representative for the actress said. "A proper birthday celebration will be planned for when she returns home."
Taylor, the rep said, is "very grateful for all of the warm birthday wishes she has received from around the world."
Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was born to American parents in Hampstead, West London, in 1932, As World War II approached, the family returned to the United States settling in Los Angeles where Taylor began her film career.
The American Film Institute has placed Taylor seventh on its list of Female Legends.
