Eddie Murphy's wife of twelve years files for divorce

Comic Eddie Murphy's 12-year marriage to his wife, Nicole, is ending, "Access Hollywood" reported Friday.

Divorce papers filed by Nicole Murphy in Los Angeles Friday cited "irreconcilable differences," a representative for the star said.
The Murphys have five children together and Eddie Murphy has a son from a previous relationship.
"The welfare of our children is our main concern and their best interests are our first priority," the couple said in a statement.
