Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds to marry again in the United States
UPI News Service, 01/04/2008
Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds, who had a wedding in French Polynesia this week, plan to make the union legal by marrying again in the United States.
"As is typical when couples get married in foreign countries, a legal ceremony will take place when they return to the United States," a representative for Edmonds told People.com. "The wedding that took place in Bora Bora was a ceremony to bind Eddie and Tracey spiritually in the presence of family and friends. The couple plan a legal ceremony as soon as they return to the States."
The Hollywood actor and his movie producer bride exchanged vows in front of 25 friends and family during a sunset ceremony on a beach on New Year's Day.
Murphy and Edmonds started dating last fall and were engaged in July.
The bride was previously married to Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, while the groom was previously married to Nicole Mitchell.
Spice Girl Melanie Brown gave birth to Murphy's baby on April 3, 2007, nearly a year after his divorce from Mitchell was finalized.
