The one-hour, eight-episode series I Am Cait will feature Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce, living her new life as an openly transgender woman and sharing her intimate story. I Am Cait will show how the people in Caitlyn's life are affected by her gender transition and will premiere Sunday, July 26 at 9PM ET/PT on E!.

The announcement comes only days after photos were released from Caitlyn's first photo shoot as a woman with Vanity Fair. Caitlyn will grace the cover of the magazine's July issue, which hits newsstands June 9.

E! shared the first promo clip for the docu-reality series Wednesday morning. The 60-second video shows Caitlyn doing her makeup -- powder and lip gloss -- and primping herself in a mirror like a professional.

Caitlyn said she didn't realize the "pressure women are under about their appearance" until recently, however, she was still excited to go out in public with her new look.

"We're out into the world," she noted. "It's so great out there."

Caitlyn posed for a 22-page spread in Vanity Fair after undergoing a 10-hour facial-feminization surgery as well as a breast augmentation in March. She was photographed by the famous Annie Leibovitz, and the public response has been overwhelmingly positive.
